Later, in the dead of winter, make sure you’ve got a gilet you can put on under your long coat or parka, in a colour that won’t clash when you open it up – if a padded style is too thick, try a non-padded or fleece gilet. Combined with your classic black jeans and a solid pair of winter boots or shoes, you can’t go wrong. All in all, gilets are a fantastic addition to your winter wardrobe.
