Is there anything quite as universal as a pair of jeans? Back in the day, jeans came in blue and that was that. They might have been dark or lighter wash denim, new or faded, but they were always blue. And while most still are, dark grey and black jeans have started to replace them as men’s go-to colours. White, on the other hand, is a little more unusual; it’s more difficult to pull off and is more suitable for the summer, especially when paired with a short sleeved shirt or tee. Where to get the best stretch jeans and what style of jeans do most men wear?

Men’s jeans are all made from similar cotton denim, but the thickness of certain styles varies, and some designs even have elastane woven in for increased stretch and maximum comfort. Most pairs have a mid-rise flat waistband and a zip or buttoned fly, along with 5 riveted pockets – two at the side, two at the back and a little one for your coins. You can, however, choose a pair with a discreet touch of elastic on the sides of the waistband (otherwise known as elastic waist jeans) to adapt to your body and offer you a little more comfort.
